Raiders Now Set Sights on Saint-Malo and Manzanillo
Once again the guns of these waters have kept a Sabbath silence, no siege joined nor garrison tried across the whole of the day past. The NPC Raiders, whose recent enterprises have furnished this column with nothing but a chronicle of their own futility, have nonetheless posted a fresh pair of summons for the morrow: BUCAN's Saint-Malo, flying Spanish colours, is marked for a call on the evening of the fourteenth, with KAMI's Manzanillo, under British ensign, to receive its own uninvited visitors a mere two minutes later by the clock. Whether this latest doubling of ambition shall at last yield the raiders a prize, or simply extend a losing streak now grown tediously familiar, the harbours themselves decline to venture an opinion.
The treasury ledger, for its part, offers the columnist nothing new to record. KAMI holds fast to first place with its forty ports unchanged from yesterday's count, and no rival clan presses near enough to disturb the settled arithmetic of its supremacy. Caribbean wealth, it seems, has grown as accustomed to stillness as Caribbean arms.
