Not a Cannon Fired as Four Sieges Gather on the Horizon
A second morning running finds the Gazette's ledger of concluded battles empty, no wall breached nor colour struck since dusk yesterday — a stillness now unmatched in a fortnight of otherwise ceaseless raiding. Yet the calm is plainly the eye of the storm, for four fresh contests now stand marked upon the horizon. The Pirate clan PANDA has set its sights on Basseterre Town, presently under NSCN's French stewardship, with the assault called for early this afternoon; Great Britain's MATDR, meanwhile, means to test CFS's grip on Congrios come evening. The NPC Raiders, too, stir once more, having marked FURY's Spanish port of Penzacola and NINE's British holding of Santa Maria for trial in the small hours of the 12th — though whether these marauders fare any better than their recent record of failure remains, as ever, a question the Gazette dares not answer in their favour.
The treasury table offers scarcely more motion than the field of battle. CFS retains its throne atop the standings with twenty-six ports, rank and count alike unmoved since yesterday, a reign that now stretches into its tenth consecutive day — a dominion so settled that even the imminent siege at Congrios has yet to trouble its ledger. No other clan's fortunes shifted enough to disturb the top of the standings, and the Caribbean's counting-houses this morning remain as fixed as its coastline.
