Raiders Set Their Sights on Rio Chico and Little Inagua
No cannon spoke in earnest across these waters in the day just past, and this column, for once, has no fresh siege to chronicle nor any garrison's stand to praise, for none was tested. Yet the NPC Raiders, undeterred by a week and more of humiliation, have set their sights anew: KAMI's hold on Rio Chico, flying British colours, is marked for a raider descent this evening, while further south BUCAN's Little Inagua, under Spanish flag, is to face the same uninvited callers less than an hour later. Whether these expeditions fare better than their predecessors of the past week is a question the harbours themselves seem disinclined to answer in advance, having grown weary, perhaps, of pretending to worry.
The treasury ledger stirs not at all this morning. KAMI retains its accustomed seat atop the leaderboard, its forty ports precisely as numerous as yesterday's count, and no rival clan draws near enough to trouble the arithmetic of its supremacy. Caribbean wealth, like Caribbean arms, appears content this day to sit exactly where it was left.
