Paint it Black
Paint it Black is a campaign to revive Naval Action.
The Demand: Whereas the developer of Naval Action has lost the confidence of the player community, we respectfully request the appointment of a community manager who will work with the developer to craft a vision and a roadmap setting the course of future development of Naval Action. The community manager will communicate with and garner the support of the player community.
The Campaign: Paint it Black is a fun and effective way for the player community to find its voice. The goal is to TEMPORARILY paint the map black with the flag of the Pirate nation. This will require TEMPORARY cooperation among clans, across nations. Details of the execution of the campaign are yet to be worked out.
We invite all disaffected players to return and join the campaign to revive Naval Action.
Next Steps
A launch date for the campaign has not been set. We need clan leaders to get on board, and together we will set a timeline and a launch date.

Caribbean Server
The Paint it Black campaign on the Caribbean server, if successful, will send a powerful message, but it will be very difficult to execute. Technically, it could be interpreted as a violation of the Articles of War. Effectively, this would be a player-initiated map wipe. To succeed, it would require a lot of cooperation among clans that are currently at war with each other.
Clans would have to agree NOT to defend their ports against a campaign-affiliated Pirate clan. When the campaign is completed, the campaign-affiliated Pirate clan would in turn NOT defend the ports it acquired for the campaign.
Peace Server
On the Peace server, the campaign is simpler, but slower. Clans in support of the campaign would allow raiders to capture their ports, thus turning them Neutral. Then a campaign-affiliated Pirate clan can capture the port and hold it for the duration of the campaign. This would be slow, at the rate of two ports per day.
